James Wilson (1775 - 1845)

James Wilson (1775-1845) was the author of Biography of the Blind, one of the first books celebrating the accomplishments of blind individuals. The book was published in four editions between 1821 and 1838. Wilson was blind from the age of four due to smallpox.
