Viktor Dyk (1877 - 1931)
Viktor Dyk (31. prosince 1877 – 14. května 1931) byl český básník, prozaik, dramatik, publicista a nacionalistický politik, v mládí jeden z představitelů tzv. generace anarchistických buřičů, později nacionalisticky orientovaný autor. Za 1. světové války byl členem domácího odboje a byl také signatářem Manifestu českých spisovatelů. Mezi jeho nejznámější literární díla patří např. novela Krysař, drama Zmoudření Dona Quijota či básnická sbírka Devátá vlna.
Viktor Dyk (December 31, 1877 - May 14, 1931) was a Czech poet, novelist, playwright, publicist and nationalist politician, in his youth one of the representatives of the so-called generation of anarchist rioters, later a nationalist-oriented author. During World War I, he was a member of the domestic resistance and was also a signatory to the Manifesto of Czech Writers. His most famous literary works include, for example, the short story The Ratman, the drama The Wisdom of Don Quixote and the poetry collection The Ninth Wave.
