Clarence Leroy Andrews (1862 - 1948)

Clarence L. Andrews was a customs official and an information officer in Alaska. He traveled widely, documenting landscape, wildlife, indigenous peoples, the introduction of reindeer, and the gold rush. He was a scholar of the Russian influence on Alaska, and an advocate for the rights of indigenous peoples.
