Henry Carey Baird (1825 - 1912)

Henry Carey Baird (September 10, 1825 - 1912) was an American economist and publisher. Over his long career he published well over 250 scientific and technical titles. He wrote and distributed, at his own expense, thousands of tracts and pamphlets, contributed numerous articles on economic subjects to various cyclopædias, and in 1876 discussed the currency question in the Atlantic Monthly with James A. Garfield.
