Joseph E. H. Debar (1849 - 1935)

Joseph Eugene Hubert Debar (5 March 1849 – 19 February 1935) was an American liquor wholesaler. He started with a wholesale produce firm, handling whisky as a specialty. Eventually he entered the wholesale liquor business, in which he was highly successful. He served as secretary and president of the National Association of Distillers and Wholesale Dealers, directing their campaign against prohibition. After it became law, he took no part in the campaign for repeal.
