George Blackstone Field (1883 - 1952)

Born in London, England, Field was a civil engineer and had served in British army in South Africa when he immigrated to Canada. He was living in Wilkie, Saskatchewan, when he volunteered in August 1914. He served in the 1st Divisional engineers and rose to Captain. After the war he returned to Canada and was living in Saskatoon in 1929, but he lived in Vancouver when he died.
