Frederick O. Bartlett (1876 - 1945)
Frederick Orin Barlett (1876 - November 4, 1945) was an American author and short story writer. He entered Harvard College with the class of 1900, but left in his first year for newspaper work in Boston. His first novel was "Joan of the Alley," published in 1904. Thereafter, he devoted all of his time to writing, completing nearly a novel a year through 1917, and using his spare time to write short stories. At the age of 48 he returned to Harvard to complete his studies, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1926.
