E. and F. N. Spon, Ltd. was a publishing house in London. "Established in 1830 by Edward Spon, who was joined in 1840 by Francis N. Spon. Specialities: Scientific and Engineering Publications, including transactions of many Engineering Institutions. A branch was opened in New York in 1871, which in 1893 was taken over by W. Edmunds Spon and William Chamberlain, and is now [in 1914] conducted under the style of Spon & Chamberlain."
