Con Price (1869 - 1958)
Cornelius Edward “Con” Price (14 April 1869 - 7 March 1958) was an American open-range cowboy and author. At the age of 16, he went to work as a night herder in eastern Montana. By age 40 he owned his own ranch, but homesteaders were fencing the open range, and he sold his ranch. He and his wife finally settled in California, and after retirement he wrote two books of stories of his ranging days in Montana.
