Charles Edward Chapman (1880 - 1941)
Charles Edward Chapman was an American lawyer, history professor, and author. He earned his law degree at Harvard Law School and was admitted to the bar in Massachusetts and California. He earned his Ph.D in history at the University of California at Berkeley and became a full professor there. In 1920-21, he was an exchange professor at the University of Chile at Santiago. He was a lifetime baseball fan, as a minor-league player, a college and major-league scout, and a coach.
