J. W. Duffield (1859 - 1946)

John William Duffield (15 January 1859 - 24 October 1946) was an American bookseller, publisher and author. He wrote at least 115 stories for the Stratemeyer Syndicate under various names. As Franklin W Dixon he wrote the Ted Scott Flying Series and as Richard H Stone the Slim Tyler Air Stories. As Allen Chapman, he wrote the first 12 (or 14) volumes of The Radio Boys series.
