Ella Ervilla Kellogg (1853 - 1920)

Ella Ervilla Kellogg, known as Mrs. E. E. Kellogg, was the wife of Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, the director of the Battle Creek Sanitarium in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was an early proponent of preparing and cooking food properly to provide nutritious and palatable meals, and supervised the preparation of meals for the 500-700 inmates of the sanitarium.
