Richard Francis Weymouth (1822 - 1902)
Richard Francis Weymouth (1822–1902) was an English lay Baptist Bible scholar. The most notable of his publications, The New Testament in Modern English, was based on his earlier Resultant Greek Testament and was first published in 1903, a year after his death. Weymouth wanted to produce a version that ordinary people could read. Weymouth wrote for private reading, not for public worship.
