Marion Harland (1830 - 1922)

Mary Virginia Terhune (née Hawes, December 21, 1830 – June 3, 1922), also known by her penname Marion Harland, was an American author. She wrote both fiction and non-fiction, including novels, short stories and essays, cookbooks and domestic works, biographies, travel guides, and histories.
