Desmond Coke (1879 - 1931)
Desmond Frances Talbot Coke (5 July 1879 - 27 April 1931) was a British poet and author. He was sent to the Western Front in 1914, contracted Trench Fever in May 1916, and was sent back to Britain to recuperate. He was then invalided out of the Army due to a heart problem. Desmond became a teacher and wrote adventure stories for boys and used the pen-name "Belinda Blinders". He also wrote adult fiction, non-fiction, and a book of poetry.
