George S. Anderson (1849 - c. 1915)

Captain George Anderson was a US Army officer who served as Yellowstone National Park’s superintendent from 1891 to 1897. Among his tasks were to curb illegal poaching and the vandalism of tourists (who would do things like scratch their names into geyser formations).
