Mary Shauffler Labaree (1868 - 1954)

Mary Schauffler Labaree Platt (19 March 1868 - 23 January 1954) was an American Presbyterian missionary and author. She was born in Istanbul, Turkey to missionary parents. She and her first husband were in Persia (modern Iran) in 1904 when he was murdered by a Persian and three Kurds. She later returned to the States and remarried in 1915.
