Basil Hughes (1878 - 1953)
Basil Hughes was a British general surgeon. During the war of 1914-18 he served in France with the West Yorks Regiment, and later as officer in charge of the surgical division at the 28th General Hospital, Salonika. Later in his career, he was particularly interested in the surgical diseases of children and in the treat-ment of rheumatoid arthritis.
