Frederick Haynes Newell (1862 - 1932)

Frederick Haynes Newell graduated in 1885 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and on October 2, 1888, he was appointed Assistant Hydraulic Engineer of the United States Geological Survey. He was subsequently appointed Chief of the Hydrographic Branch.
