Sarah Raymond Herndon (1840 - 1914)

Emigrated to Virginia City in the Montana Territory in 1865. Her journal of the trip was first published at the request of friends in a local newspaper, the "Rocky Mountain Husbandman," in the early 1880s and was published in book form in 1902.
