Dion Clayton Calthrop (1878 - 1937)

Dion William Palgrave Clayton Calthrop (2 May 1878 - 7 March 1937) was a British author, artist and illustrator. During the 1890s he worked as a freelance painter, graphic artist and magazine illustrator. From around 1906 he concentrated on writing and made his name as an essayist, novelist and playwright. He often illustrated his own books and even designed the sets and costumes for his London plays.
