John L. Ransom (1843 - 1919)

John L. Ransom (1843-1919) was a Union soldier during the U.S. Civil War. He wasa prisoner of war at Andersonville and kept a detailed diary of his capture, imprisonment, and escape which was published as Andersonville Diary.
