LibriVox Podcasts
A podcast is a way to automatically download audio files to your computer from a specific show, or “feed.” You can listen on your computer, on a portable media device such as an iPod or a smartphone, or you can burn the files to a CD and listen on a regular stereo.
In order to get podcasts onto your computer (Windows, Mac, Linux or otherwise), you’ll need some pod-catching software, such as iTunes, gPodder, or Juice. Alternately, you can listen to podcasts “streaming” in your browser.
Your smartphone might have a podcast app installed already, and will likely have many options available in its app store. There are even a few apps that have been designed to work well with LibriVox, and some might include “LibriVox” in their names. This is not an endorsement – we are not affiliated with the makers of any app, and do not receive anything from them – but you may find them useful.
