Call of the Wild – Chapter 3

Posted on November 11, 2005 by | Posted in Blog, Podcast | Comments: Comments Off on Call of the Wild – Chapter 3

We had our first flakes of snow up here in Montreal yesterday. I don’t know what it’s like on the road between Dawson and White Horse, but I’ll wager it’s a sight colder there than it is here. Here’s Kristen with the next installment of the classic Jack London tale of adventure in the harsh world of gold-rush era Yukon.

Looking for Volunteers!

Posted on November 10, 2005 by | Posted in News, site & admin | Comments: 1 Comment on Looking for Volunteers!

We’re always looking for new volunteers! Here’s some text you can post on your blog, or send to anyone you think might be interested in our project. In French and English… if anyone would like to make versions in other languages, please do so, and let us know! Thanks!

ENGLISH:

Volunteers wanted for LibriVox

LibriVox volunteers record chapters of books in the public domain in digital format, and we release the audio files back into the public
domain (catalog and podcast). We are a totally volunteer, open source, free content, public domain project. Our objective is to make all books in the public domain available, for free, in audio format on the internet.

LibriVox is always looking for volunteers, to read and record chapters of books in the public domain, but also to help with other aspects of
this growing project: technical (cataloging, social networking, web design, communication); graphics; publicity; coordination of volunteers
etc etc… We have about 80 volunteers right now, more than 10 books finished, and we expect to have 30 done by the end of 2005. Right now all our titles are in English, but we hope to have other languages soon. Come help us out.

FRANCAIS:
