Sextus Julius Frontinus (40 - 103)
Frontinus was a Roman civil engineer, author, and politician of the late 1st century AD. He was a successful general under Domitian, consul three times and author of technical treatises, the most famous one being De aquaeductu, dealing with the aqueducts of Rome.
