Alexander Gordon Cowie (1889 - 1916)
Alexander Gordon Cowie (27 February 1889 – 7 April 1916) was an English cricketer who played for the University of Cambridge, the county of Hampshire and the Army.
With the onset of the First World War Cowie enlisted to the British Army, and became a Captain in the Seaforth Highlanders. Cowie was wounded in 1915, but returned to active duty. Cowie died in April 1916 after being fatally wounded while serving in Mesopotamia.
