° GUIDELINES ON WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR LIBRIVOX AUDIOBOOK SAMPLE |
To ensure project-wide uniformity, please stick closely to these simple guidelines. Update: 01 Jan 08 |

1. Straightforwardly identify the book & author. |
2. Read the summary already provided by the BC/MC or write a brief one that gives the listener some idea of what the book is about and/or how it fits into the context of books of its kind. Identify its category/genre. |
3. Announce: "Here's a sample, from chapter 000, as read by [reader as listed in the catalog chapter queue.] |
4. 2-3 second fade up, into a 30-45 second sample. |
5. End sample with a 2-3 second fade out —with no additional comment(s). |
6. Please: no music, sound effects, other audio, references to other books or persons, etc. |
