About LibriVox's Audio Files
The Librivox audio files are hosted at Archive.org permanently. Each catalog page for a book or recording contains links to the individual audio files located at Archive.org (See Aristotle's "Poetics" as an example catalog page). For each recording there are three files to choose from.
128Kbps MP3 - Higher quality and larger file size. This is the original recording sent in by the creator.
64Kbps MP3 - Lower quality and smaller file size. The difference in audio quality is barely discernible when listening.
Ogg Vorbis - Open source file format playable in many audio players. More information on Ogg Vorbis
In addition to this, there is usually a zip file that contains the 64Kbps MP3 version of each recording in a book/project.
