All the reading and recording activity at LibriVox results in a lot of editing. Nearly all the editing is done by the readers making the recording, and everything is learned by trials and errors. Note that recent versions of Audacity include a state-of-the-art noise-removal capability which can enhance recordingd with troublesome background noise. Check out the forum page.
