I wondered if there should be a project for the knitters to release knitting patterns into the public domain: LibriSox
Or for those involved with freeing captured specimens of the creature known by its latin name as Vulpes Vulpes: LibriFox
Or blueprints of out-of-copyright timepieces: LibriClox
Any suggestions? _________________ http://librilang.org |

Oh gosh, this reminds me of the terribly unfortunate online war that happened a few years ago now -- involving those with apple orchards open to the public ... lovely apples they were, very traditional English, totally organic. But, you see, there was another elite group consisting of those at the helms of a ship's boat or racing crew. And THEY were trying to encourage new people to start in the profession by allowing anyone to come along and call out the strokes (and that led to the nasty pile-up on the river Ouse, not to mention the astonishing speed record set by a Cambridge boat crew when the 7yr old daughter of the captain tried her hand.)
As a result of the fight (and the embarrassing publicity around the 'adult movie' star who made some extremely unhelpful suggestions on the matter) they both relinquished all rights to the name, and thus LibriCox is extinct before it ever began. _________________ Criticism is something we can avoid easily by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing: Aristotle. . . | You may remember in the NanoWriMo project the protagonists had a family shipping business where they tied up their ships at the LibriDock. |

With the help of a rehabilitation program for ex-convicts, a business was set up to manufacture key-operated security solutions. The business won a government contract to supply the 'criminal containment industry'. It all went horribly wrong, and a huge mumber of prisoners escaped.
The name of the company?
LibriLox
You'd have thought there was a clue there somewhere... _________________ Twitter: @LibriVoxateers (about volunteering) - @librivox (about listening) - @earthcalling (misself) |
