Aileron,
I'll MC this one for you, it being right up my street!
One point on the ID3 tags. The track name (title) should be 'Book 01' etc., rather than a duplicate of the album title.
Have you got access to server space to host the files as they come in?

Please put me down for book two (for now - since they're short I may do more later).
Thanks,
Carl. _________________ Fancy taking part in a journey to Mecca? |

If you have an ftp client, then Anita (a.r.dobbs) has kindly agreed for us to use her server. I've set up a folder called confucius for this.
Here's the login info:
ftp.studioae.com
LibriVox
L1br1V0x (note the vowels are all numbers)
I've recorded and uploaded Book 3, and added a 'listen' link to the first post.
As other files come in, you can copy the code of my link and us it for the other files.

You'll see that I've read the verse numbers. It seemed to help to indicate that the text is not a continuous narrative, but is a list of unconnected sayings or episodes. If you agree that's the right thing to do, it might be an idea to suggest it to all readers, for consistency; on the other hand, I can edit them out if you prefer.

thanks, TetoYasha! 4 and 5 are yours
earthcalling, it doesn't matter to me either way but since you've started reading the chapter numbers aloud, then i don't see any harm in following your example . i've added the instructions to the 1st post. _________________ librivox projects | 2007 reading list | my blog |

I've added in the first post a live link to the new cataloguing database, which is currently being populated and tested.
Neat, huh?
Once we're happy with this and comfortable updating it, it can replace the manually edited status list. Aileron, I'll PM you the login details and some simple instructions.
