Dear Enemy is the sequal to Jean Webster's Daddy-Long-Legs. The story as presented in a series of letters written by Sallie McBride, Judy Abbott's collegemate in Daddy-Long-Legs. Among the recipients of the letters are the president of the orphanage where Sallie is filling in until a new director can be installed, his wife (Judy Abbott of Daddy-Long-Legs), and the orphanage's doctor (to whom Sallie addresses his letters: "Dear Enemy")

Hooray! I had not been aware that there was a sequel. Librivox once again introduced me to something I should have been aware of.

Hmm, I think I'll start with section 3 for now?

oops... sorry about that... I guess it would help if I had the correct urls posted... they are now all updated =)

I haven't yet finished reading this book, but from what I have read, this will be just as good as Daddy-Long-Legs... Enjoy! =)

oh, criminy... i just looked at one of the section files and found that when i converted the text to an html file, it inserted a million question marks ... I'll see what I can do to get those cleaned up asap! ... sorry for the trouble...

Ok.. I have the chapter files sorted out so that the crazy question marks aren't there anymore. Looks like they were placeholding for extra spaces in the html file... so there may be an occassional period without a space following it... I figured that would be easier to deal with than question marks at the end of every sentence.

Let me know if there are any big problems with the text... we can always go back and consult the original PG file too if need be =)

That's what I did with Daddy Long Legs, just found the relevant portion in the text file and read that.
