Another fine history book for children! Published in 1917, Marshall's book of stories from the history of the United States begins with accounts of exploration and settlement, and ends with the presidency of Woodrow Wilson.

This is Part 4: Stories of the Middle and Southern Colonies, from chapter 35 (The Founding of Maryland) to chapter 44 (The Founding of Georgia). Read along and view the original illustrations at http://mainlesson.com/ .

The LibriVox recording of Part 1 of this book can be found at http://librivox.org/this-country-of-ours-part-1-by-he-marshall/

The LibriVox recording of Part 2 of this book can be found at http://librivox.org/this-country-of-ours-part-2-by-h-e-marshall/

chapters 35 and 36 (or sections 1 and 2 as I should call them) are perfect. In this pace, we can make this project a part of the november drive. That can be wonderful.

Chapters 3 are 4 are ok to catalogue. But, as I am juish and Yaakov is a commen juish name, I will tell you how to pronounse it. You said in chapter 3 "Yaa-kov". It should be "ya-a-kov" with short a on the second silable. It's esey to change, of course, but 99% of your listeners would not notess such a thing. I am sorry for you about me not being of these 99%. So, choose for yourself if you wish to change it or not.

Thanks Stav. In the text it's "Jacob", so I pronounced it the German way since he was a German man.

I appreciate your attention to detail! Keep mentioning things like this to me if you notice them. *smile*

Hi Stav, chapter 39 is up. It's a tiny one, less than 4 minutes long.

I'll try to finish up this whole book before the 19th *smile*

I'm trying out my new Zoom recorder, and I got a few breath-noises and some bumps in this recording, but I hope it's ok.
