so we are approaching an exciting milestone in LibriVox activity... we are getting close to having produced a whole year's worth of audio, the point when someone could sit down with our catalog, and start listening, and listen for 8760 hours, or 365 days straight through...only by the time such a listener finished listening, a year later, we'd have produced a whole lot more audio!

In any case, we are currently at:
341 days, 13 hours, 50 minutes, and 54 seconds.

Updates to follow! Wink

And did you know that 60 readers completed 50% of the sections? While the remaining 50% was completed by 2080 readers!!

Reader 61 has recorded 133 sections!

It took 207 readers to complete 75% of the catalog and
541 readers to read 90% and
896 readers to read 95% and
1374 readers to read 98% and
1737 readers to read 99%

727 readers read one section for us. Let's not underestimate the power of ONE!

This is really amazing folks!

Hee! I doubt that. Maybe in the classics and histories that you and I seem to particularly like.

Now, look at this. If all those people who recorded only one recorded a second, they'd pass me in numbers.

Wow, we must have done a lot of cataloging - more than 2,5 days extra in the catalog in one single day of real-life time Shocked

Either that, or a couple of monster projects got added. I'm in the editing stage of the first section of Summa Theologica vol. 1, and it's going to be around 11 hours long. And there are about 5 more sections of Vol 1 to follow. Not to mention Vols 2-4, eventually!

We're getting there! I won't deny that I love stats, but I'm burning with curiosity to see what work puts us over the top!

Hmm I haven't posted in a few days and we haven't cataloged any huge works either:

351 days, 4 hours, 13 minutes, and 57 seconds.
