What are your favorite Librivox recordings?
Of course they're all good, but some of my favorites are:

Elizabeth Clett's recording of Howard's End
earthcallingdavid's recording of The Canterville Ghost
rachelellen's recording of O Pioneers!
Denny Sayer's recording of The Chromatic Ghosts of Thomas
Betsy Bush's recording of Pigs Is Pigs

How about the rest of you?

Ummmm...
Possibly sjmarky's readings of several of H. Beam Piper's stories, such as The Cosmic Computer.

I love every recording which has a good reader. Most of the librivox recordings which I've heard have a good reader so I love them.

I have only listened to a few things to date, but both "Dracula" and "China and the Chinese" have been my favorites.

Oh so did I. Have you listened to her "Eldorado"? It has the same characters.

What the hey- here's my top 5, in some particular order:

John Gonzalez' The Picture of Dorian Gray
Adrian Praetzellis' The Wind in the Willows. (Gotta love that "we don't wanna teach 'em, we wanna LEARN 'em" bit.)
Kehinde's Molly Make-Believe
The group recording of Hollow Needle
D. E. Wittkower's Enchiridion

Hi all.
I have a very good idea:
let's make another link from the catalog. Let's title it: "rating" and list all of the recordings. In audible.com every recording has a link to rate and I thinnk that it is very good. What do you think?
Stav.

hi miss stav, somewhere or other we have lots of text that explains why we don't have ratings on LibriVox ... there are a number of reasons philosophical (eg. ratings are subjective) and pragmatic (eg. we believe ratings tend to discourage rather than encourage lots of audiobook making) ...

i'll poke around and see if i can find it... otherwise i'll write it out again Wink

I didn't know about that one. I will have to check it out after Pride and Prejudice.

Ye know hugh once that text is found it should go in the wiki so it is easily located the question is asked so much, kinda like the "what if I suck" question.

I'm listening to last year's Christmas Carol Collection and it's making me smile so big! It's like having a roomful of friends singing to me!

someone just recommended "diary of a nobody" to me and it was awesome. I laughed my stupid head off. the reading was just perfect.

i'm listening to "the age of innocence now" -- also a great reading.

Other favorites of mine have been howards end, night and day, and the awakening.
