Advice on French pronunciations:

ChipDoc wrote:
Here's a trick I've used to deal with unfamilaliar pronounciations: Say it in whatever way seems best to you, but say it WITH AUTHORITY. If you sound like you know what you're talking about, most folks will believe you. Even if you're dead wrong, most folks who know "the right way" to pronounce a word will pause and consider if possibly YOU are right if you speak the word with easy conviction.

Awesome! Great job Kri!

(one tiny suggestion, since the chapter numbers go into the three digits, consider putting zeros in front of the single and dougle digit numbers so that the files will sort properly: 001, 002 .. 045, 046 , etc.)

I'll go and put this in the "To Come" section on the catalog page right now =)

I'll take chapters 2, 3 and 4.

Since the completion date is so far in the future, I may also take some more, but let's see how it fills up!

I'll take Ch 13 & 14!

A suggestion: for the ID3 tags, how about including the chapter number as well as the title, i.e. use "Chapter 13: The Hundred Days" instead of just "The Hundred Days".

Good suggestion Wolvrin. I'll update it. 13 and 14 are yours Smile

Gord, I'll add you for 2, 3, and 4.

I told myself I wouldn't, but I must, or I would feel very bad indeed. One chapter only for now, though.

Chapter 15, please?

Chapter 15 for you rfrancis. There's plenty of some so don't worry Smile I figured with over 100 chapters it would take a bit to finish this one.

I hope to get in more. I have as complete a library of Dumas sitting on my shelf as I could amass -- Musketeer cycle, Monte Cristo, La Reine Margot (we should definitely do this one at some point), Black Tulip, a couple of others I think. I am a hopeless Musketeer fanboy, too. Smile

You know I've been thinking of La Reine Margot lately. I'll think more closely on it when we're further along in Monte Cristo. Man I need to remember I have classes starting soon!!

Librivox is so addicting.

Yes, Librivox is truly addictive. I'd love to do Chapter 16 - A Learned Italian.

Thanks,
Sherry

Alright, 16 is yours sherry Smile Is it coincidence that you have 16 as well in Tale of Two Cities? Or was that to make it easier?
