Wow, and all edited together! Sounds good - to get that duet working correctly must have been some job!

Thanks, eklypse!

It took a few takes. You might have noticed the glitch in the beginning, but at that point I was ready to say, "good enough."

I've completed and uploaded the part of the president in section 5:

Section 1 PL okay, magic window updated.

I have some notes or questions on the other sections. I'm going to do them in separate posts, as it seems less confusing. Hope I guessed right. Wink I'm also not updating the MW on these until I see whether these things even matter. They very well may not, and then I can just mark them PL okay.

Sections 3 and 4, by Leni
I don't honestly know how important this is, so I'm going to ask about it. The instructions say to say at the very beginning: Section xx of Pantheisticon ... Librivox info ... name if you wish ... then "Pantheisticon by John Toland, Section xx."

Both Sections 3 and 4 don't say that at the end, instead they say "Pantheisticon by John Toland, " then go right into the title itself - no section number there.

The section number is stated the first time, the very first words spoken. Just not the second time. So it's pretty minor, but I didn't know if for consistency you would want it corrected, or not.

Otherwise, Section 4 PLd okay.

Section 3 had a phrase repeat at 11:40 ~ 11:42: "The origin of figured stones ... ". (I'll add that one to the MW)

More PL notes.

Section 5, President's part - lezer

This is similar to the last post question - may not matter, but for consistency, I'm checking.

At the end instead of saying "End of Section 5" it says "End of the first part." Question (everything else was fine)

Last one.

Section 7, which has been edited together.

The beginning doesn't match what the instructions say to say. Instead it says "The Third Part of the form of celebrating the Socratic Society by John Toland. (Librivox info okay) (reader's names) ... The Third Part ... " and then just goes right into the text.

It doesn't start out saying "Section xx of Pantheisticon" at all. Since these are the very first words spoken, I didn't know if it would be an issue, so I thought I'd mention it.

At the end it's the same as the last post - instead of saying "End of Section 7" it says "End of the third part." Again, maybe no biggie, but wanted to ask.

Also ... in eklypse's part, between 3:45 and 4:52 there is some pretty loud distracting background noise. It's most prominent because it doesn't appear in the rest of the recording, so it really stands out; and because the other speaker's part has no background noise at all, making that particular bit of noise stand out all the more. But I will leave it up to ya'll whether it's okay and you want to leave it - if so, just tell me, and I'll label it "PL OK" - because everything else is fine.

There - I'm done. Hope that wasn't all too confusing. As I said, I'm not updating the MW on most of that, because I didn't know if most of this was anything that really needed fixed. I'll update the window after I see how everyone wants to go with this.

Hmmm... I don't know... I'll do what the BC says I should. If Anna wants me to add the section number, I will. Smile

With apologies, I admit I'm not going to be able to record my claim in a timely manner ... can you please re-open it for another reader, Anna..?

Never fear, Ruthie's here! Laughing How about this?

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/lz/pantheisticon_05_toland_both.mp3

which is an edited recording of Anna's President and me as Respondent.

Or this:

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/lz/pantheisticon_05_toland.mp3

which is the same, but without the double recording of both Pres and Resp on p. 67. Personally, I think it is clearer and better with just one voice.

Duration of each is 6:00

Ruth

Rayne - thank you for your careful PL!
Let's accept the slight deviation in section 3 & 4, I agree with you that the missing announcement doesn't matter there very much - so we'll call them PL-OK (except for the repeat in section 3). So Leni: no need to add the "section x".

Section 7 might be more serious - I'll take a listen and edit where needed.

Cori, thank you for letting us know! The project has really got into acceleration, suddenly...

Now I'm going to download Ruth's versions of section 5 - let's hear what she's made of it Smile

Oh, and the last remaining claimant hasn't picked up his PM yet; I've sent him an email and will give him a few days to respond.

I'll only fix the repeat in section 3, then.

Thanks, Leni.

Well, Ruth - thank you for section 5! I think the "double" recording for the "song" is very well done. Rayne, could you take a listen to both versions and tell us your opinion on which to choose?

No time to edit section 7 tonight, will be on my to-do list.
