How much amplification do the sections need?

The sections should be around 90db. If you use audacity, the majority of the recording should be between 0.5 and 1.0 (looking at the bar on the left), but without clipping (that is, without the peaks going over the borders).

Hello, Donna, and welcome to the project!

Since you say this is your first recording for Librivox, I'd like to suggest that you read the Newbie Guide to Recording ( http://librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi/NewbieGuideToRecording), and try the 1-minute test (or some other short piece). This is not an audition or anything of the kind Smile , it's just to make sure all the settings are ok.

Also, under which name or pseudonym would you like to appear in the catalog? We can also add a link to a personal blog or website if you wish.

Please read carefully the instructions in the first post, and, if you have any doubts, don't hesitate to ask!

Happy recording! Very Happy
