Hello,
Just wondering -- is anyone keeping track of the ebay audiobook sellers and which books have been made available so far?
I'm also wondering whether they are still selling the newest recordings from LibriVox.
It might be useful to keep track of which books have been made available on ebay so far, because, in a way, each of these recordings has thus been "published" in CD format. _________________ Nicholas J. Bridgewater

There is a least one who obviously "prints on demand" - anything is available. I assume very soon after it is released
Do you have a problem with it ? It's a service we don't provide and it gets things spread to people who would not otherwise know about us and /or don't have the ability to download stuff

Can you clarify in what way you envisage it being useful to us to try and keep track, Nicholas? I don't think I follow . _________________ English is the lingua franca par excellence |

I don't have a problem with it. Actually, I just feel it would be useful to know where LibriVox recordings are available in a CD format. I just felt it would be useful to keep track of which ones have already been made available in this way.
Which is the seller who prints anything on demand? _________________ Nicholas J. Bridgewater

I don't know how anyone could keep it up to date, Nicholas. They change all the time. _________________ Please help in the November Clean Up

I took a quick look on the american ebay site and found 1 seller selling copies of short story and favourite chapters collections. $1 US per disk, 55 collections. Doesn't say how many he sold. I guess he makes pin money on it.

Anybody have a used-media shop in their town? Most will carry indie media like fanzines and garage-band CDs, along with the usual bins of albums, CDs, DVDs, 45's, posters, and/or books. There are at least three in the Tampa-St Pete area. I'll have to look next time I'm in one of them because I'm wondering if they'll have some of those eBay mp3 CDs of our works in the Spoken Word section. I've considered burning a few books onto CD-Rs and asking the owners to carry them -- not for profit, just to literally get the word out. _________________ My LibriVox Readings

Nice idea - I know other people do it for church libraries and various other societies

I am still meaning to donate some of my recordings to my local library. However, I think I should have to make audio CDs, I think, (the locals are not terribly technically advanced) so I need to obtain proper boxes.
