Quote:
This is a long short story in 6 parts from Fitzgerald's 1920 short story collection, Flappers and Philosophers. It predates the screwball movie comedies of the 1930's in that it features a determined young heiress trying to get what she wants out of life.(Summary by BellonaTimes)

If we don't hear from you for three months, your project will be opened up to a group project as soon as a Book Coordinator can be found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. "Recording by [your name]"
    • Say:

Hi BT,

Chapter 1 is lovely!

PL notes --

1) the beginning silence is about 2 seconds long - you'll have to cut that down to 0.5-1.0

2) the noise isn't so disturbing, could get used to it as the story progresses, but you might want to try out some noise-cleaning?

3) slightly long silence at about 5:21 (and at 5:58 as well?)

4) stumble at about 7:33 - we start back to New York...

5) the overall volume - it's kind of too loud, you might want to lessen the volume a bit (it averages around 1.0, not 0.5 as it should be)
Puffs of breath (plosive-like; wind?) here and there, but if the volume's lowered and the noise cleaned, the whole thing should be fine.

6) End of Part ONE of... (you've said part two)

The story's REAL fun Very Happy Ardita gets on my nerves. Can't help feeling sorry for the poor uncle who escaped the book, but got the lemon on his neck. Great reading, BT! Smile

I'll see what I can do with the file. I thought it sounded okay except for the occasional plosives, but then I have a fan going in here because it's like a 100+ heat index outside so hard to hear background noise.

Part 3 uploaded.

I think everything will sound OK if you bring down the volume a little and that's all Smile The noises and all will also not sound so big. Just a wee little.
It wasn't all that disturbing, but it would just make the recording better. The main changes that HAVE TO BE DONE are 1. and 6. Other than that, I think it's OK.

@ heat - *groans* Don't tell me, it's as hot here as well.

EDIT - Downloading section 3.
