One of the best recordings I’ve heard was Dostoyevsky’s “Notes From the Underground” especially where Gordon Mackenzie was reading. I’ve found myself re-listening to those chapters.

Elizabeth Clett’s reading of Jane Austen’s “Persuasion” is exceptional. Though read solely by Clett, each character is read with distinct variations in accent and inflection, adding a sense of drama and intricacy that does justice to such a beloved and respected novel.

Rilla of Ingleside, read by Karen Savage. She made the book seem so real to me. I really like how the different people are read. Susan and Norman Douglass are awesome. :-)
