I just listened to this story today -- it's a lovely O. Henry and a transparent reading, meaning that the story itself is so much more foreground than the reader. Coon reads with excellent understanding, full commitment, and slightly understated delivery. I was very impressed with the light touch on the accents -- to my ear, which is untrained in the various degrees of Southern dialect, the accents were accurate . . . distinctive and clear and a pleasure to hear.

Who picked this? This was a great Weekly Pick selection!
