A popular German site, heise online, posted about us here. We’ve had loads of hits from Germany, and a few questions about why we have no German books … answer: we have no German volunteers yet! So:

there ist a german webpage called vorleser.net and they also publish public domain audio-books!

Vorleser.net do not accept laypersons. Seems a good resource nevertheless.

Hi all,
After considering a year to buy a Ipod I finally bought one. My vision is decreasing and that was the final reason to get one. I am fond of audiobooks, and I am enjoying listening to it.
I recently stumbled upon your site, and downloaded the Christmas Caroll by Charles Dickens. I listened to it yesterday evening in my warm bed, while snow was falling. I wanted to thank the people who read the book for me ;)
My English is improving a lot while listening to English books.
Again thank you very much for putting up this site :)
