BBC 6 makes a mention…
We were mentioned today on BBC 6, Breakfast Show, Tech Tuesdays with Dave Green … I don’t know if we were on the audio version, but we got a tip on their site:
There’s no denying that books are convenient, but you can also catch up on a few literary classics while doing other things (like driving, or going to the gym) thanks to a new site [librivox] where amateur “podcasters” record chapters of out-of-copyright hits - from Frankenstein to Agatha Christie - in free-to-download MP3 form.

Woo! Unfortch BBC 6 is a cable / digital only service so is not hugely available. But at least someone within Auntie is listening! I’ve tried to drop a line to In Touch, a radio programme for a largely VI audience that has campaigned on audiobook availability in the past - but they auto-replied to the e-mail that they can’t really always read their mail…

Keep in mind that Agatha Christie is not in the public domain yet in most of the world, and only her first two books in the USA.
